FALS: (Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery) - This course is to train senior or advanced laparoscopic surgeons and to keep the members abreast with recent advancements in laparoscopic procedures. FALS courses are organized in various sub- specialties such as hernia, bariatric surgery, upper gastrointestinal surgery, colorectal surgery and oncology.

EFIAGES: (Fellowship in Essential Endoscopy) - This course is to train surgeons in the field of basic GI endoscopy. This course is for surgeons willing to start their practice by learning the art and science of endoscopy.

FAGIE: (Fellowship in Advanced Gastrointestinal Endoscopy) - This is an advanced courses in GI endoscopy. These courses are for surgeons willing to master GI endoscopy both diagnostic and therapeutic including endoscopic surgeries for complications.

Successful candidates will be felicitated in the annual conference of IAGES.

IAGES is pleased to introduce the online fellowship and also launch non- fellowship certificate courses in all the above categories starting from 15th July 2020 onwards.

With the help of sophisticated online platform, these courses are offered in the form of interactive video lectures, virtual live demonstration of laparoscopic surgery/endoscopic cases and virtual simulations of various procedures.

IAGES is proud to present this new and exciting learning experience for all enthusiastic and ambitious trainees through these online courses.

Course Structure

IAGES offers online courses in 2 broad categories namely FELLOWSHIP and NON-FELLOWSHIP.

The FELLOWSHIP courses are offered for all IAGES life members and its collaborating overseas associations who fulfil the criteria for taking these courses. A variety of specialized courses with extensive teaching and training modules make IAGES fellowships, one of the most sought-after minimal access training courses.

The NON-FELLOWSHIP courses are open for any surgeon and surgical postgraduate both members and non-members from across the globe who is interested in certifying themselves through various intensive minimal access surgical courses.

Both these courses are further divided into EXAMINATION and NON-EXAMINATION groups, the guidelines of which are explained elsewhere in the manual
